American College of Cardiology Hires Environics Communications

WASHINGTON – October 23, 2012 – The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has hired Environics Communications to provide traditional and social media relations support for the College’s 62nd annual meeting.
The ACC is a 40,000-member nonprofit medical society comprised of physicians, surgeons, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists and practice managers, and bestows credentials upon cardiovascular specialists who meet its stringent qualifications. The College is a leader in the formulation of health policy, standards and guidelines, and is a staunch supporter of cardiovascular research.
The College’s Annual Scientific Session & Expo attracts an estimated 19,000 attendees from around the world and more than 200 media. Environics will work closely with ACC staff to develop and implement a media relations campaign promoting groundbreaking research, maximizing coverage for the College in both traditional and social media before, during and after the annual meeting.
