Natural Products Association Hires Environics Communications

May 20, 2013

WASHINGTON – May 20, 2013 – The Natural Products Association (NPA), the nation’s largest and most powerful trade association dedicated to the natural products industry, has hired Environics Communications to provide public relations services.

Environics will work with NPA to help develop and implement messaging and a media strategy to better position NPA as a resource on natural products.  The effort also will seek to raise awareness of NPA’s Natural Seal program for personal and home care products.

Natural products are considered those minimally processed and formulated without artificial ingredients.  These include natural and organic foods, dietary supplements, pet foods, health and beauty products, “green” cleaning supplies and more.  NPA represents more than 2,000 members accounting for more than 10,000 retail, manufacturing, wholesale, and distribution locations.

“Environics has extensive experience in both strategic messaging and positioning organizations as thought leaders so the public receives accurate and authoritative information. They are a natural fit to work with our association,” said NPA CEO John Shaw.

“Natural products are a multibillion-dollar industry that continues to grow rapidly,” said Dave Groobert, U.S. general manager of Environics Communications.  “Trustworthy and credible experts are needed to represent the industry to the public and on Capitol Hill, and we’re pleased to be working with NPA in this important role.”
